Patient Care Manager

Faxing
Incoming and Outgoing Faxes are fully integrated with the AMCIS Patient Care.

Fax any combination of documents and data.
With the AMCIS Patient Care Manager you can fax any document or any combination of documents directly out of AMCIS with a few simple clicks. For example:
  1. From any section of the patient's medical record click on the fax icon.
  2. Select the sections which contain the items you want to fax out.
  3. Check each document you want included in the fax.
  4. Now you can view your entire fax as one PDF document.
  5. Enter the fax number or first few letters of the fax recipient.
  6. Enter more fax recipients, if necessary.
  7. Select your preferred cover page, if necessary.
  8. Send your fax.
This feature saves your practice time and money by eliminating the need to retrieve paper charts, cull the required documents, manually fax them, place them back in the proper portion of the paper chart and re-shelving the chart. This laborious process which usually took 15-30 minutes, will take you less than 1 minute.

All outgoing faxes are stored to the patient's fax log. If the recipient does not answer, a notice is sent to the provider's secretary/receptionist who can refax the document with a single click.

No scanning of incoming faxes is required.
Incoming faxes drop directly into the AMCIS Patient Care Manager so that staff can direct the documents to the appropriate person electronically. Once faxes are in AMCIS they are managed just like scanned documents in AMCIS Scanning.

Additional valuable features include:
  • Purging of selected pages, like cover pages, is quick and easy.
  • Faxes for multiple patients can be split into separate documents.
  • Landscape faxes are automatically rotated.
Faxing occurs directly from the AMCIS server. There is no additional cost for hardware or use of a third-party faxing service.
