Scanning documents with the AMCIS Patient Care Manager eliminates the need to keep any patient charts.
AMCIS Scanning is a completely integrated document management system. Documents can be scanned:
- in multiple locations
- by multiple staff persons, and
- easily directed to the appropriate person electronically for review
Triage of scanned documents into patient charts is simple and efficient:
- Multiple documents can be entered into one medical record without searching for the patient account repeatedly.
- Documents are identified by type with one single drop-down menu.
During the initial scanning setup, each document type is associated with a section in the patient chart. Once a document has been placed in a patient's medical record, it can be viewed from the appropriate section in the patient's chart. At any time, comments can be entered for each scanned document and messages can be sent to other staff members about the scanned document.
For large practices, document triage can be quickly assigned to each physician's Medical Assistant with a single click.
Any images received by the practice electronically, such as radiology images or EKGs, can be saved into AMCIS Scanning without printing.
With AMCIS, any combination of scanned documents and other information in the patient's chart, like doctor's notes, medications list, etc., can be combined into a single document for printing or faxing.
Patients can view scanned documents and associated comments that are sent to them by your or your staff from the Patient Care Manager via the Patient HealthPort.
