The Patient HealthPort lets patients enter their clinical information for the practice.
In the AMCIS HealthPort patients enter their past medical history, surgical history, family and social history, allergies, medications and review of systems, which all go directly into the physicians note in prose, without a computer-generated appearance.
There is no need for the patient to fill out their entire medical history once a year on paper that staff would then have to enter into the computer. With AMCIS this is all done electronically online. This provides unparalleled efficiency for note documentation.
Patients can find conditions by searching for key terms and selecting the most appropriate one. The AMCIS MedSynTax clinical terminology database finds synonyms for the search terms. When the provider views their note, they can use the term selected by the patient or any synonym in the system.
The patient's medical record is more accurate and up to date, thereby contributing to overall better continuity of care.
