Testimonials
  • "The AMCIS product has streamlined our practice, enabled us to practice more efficiently with much improved patient safety and care. We have saved personal time and are able to service more patients with fewer staffers (creating cost savings). At the same time, there has been greater patient satisfaction!”

-- Dr. Howard D. Goldstein, M.D., Managing Partner, Annapolis Internal Medicine, LLC

  • "At first I didn't have to stay late to finish my charts; then I had an extra hour during the day to do additional consults; and now we're reducing our front office staff in half. I tell you, I'm a believer.”
-- John Dormois, MD, Cardiologist, Tampa, FL

  • "The communication system is excellent. Regarding the patient-side front end, patients are delighted. Even non-tech savvy patients are happy with information they receive and are provided through the system. Regarding scheduling online, people are also delighted with the access.

Electronic prescribing has saved me time and works very well. Having labs and consults in the chart has also saved me time, as well as my staff's time, when we need to make sure that we have everything available at the time of the patient visit. It's done all these things. We have many fewer people pulling charts and needing to be in the file room.

Lastly, the ability to send lab results to patients from within the eChart with only 3 clicks without pulling charts and getting on the phone has saved me an enormous amount of time and has been very well received by my patients.”
-- Brian Wolf, MD, Primary Care Physician, Annapolis Internal Medicine, Annapolis, MD

  • "I no longer play phone tag with my patients. It's the wave of the future.”
-- Aimee Yu, Pulmonologist, Annapolis Pulmonary Specialists, Annapolis, MD

  • Regarding the AMCIS Patient Care Manager:
"My secretary told me a doctor was on the phone about a patient and she left to get the chart. By the time she got back, I had pulled up the last note in AMCIS and was discussing the patient with the doctor. I didn't need the chart; she didn't need to stop her work. This is making us more efficient.”

Regarding the AMCIS Viewer for Anne Arundel Medical Center:
"We use AMCIS in the hospital every day to review notes. Having direct access is not only faster but it allows us to look at the whole chart and not just the last note but also outside (non AAMC) lab and X-ray reports and get a better feel for the course of the patient's illness. I am sure that the AMCIS Viewer would at least eliminate the need to repeat some tests in the ER by giving the docs better/more background information and this would allow some pts to move through the system faster. Just having access to a good med list and problem list would save time for the triage nurse and given that patients are often anxious scared or in distress their ability to give a full or complete history is often compromised. Having full access to our records would allow AAMC providers with a faster and more complete history hopefully allowing a faster more focused approach to the patients problem.”
-- Robert Peterson, MD, Chief of Critical Care, Annapolis Pulmonary Specialists, Annapolis, MD

  • "Patients are very excited about sharing the EMR with them to review labs, etc. I really like AMCIS. At this point I'm 70% electronic. I love it. I love sending results to patients. I'm very pleased and would not switch to another EMR.”
-- Joe Friend, MD, Endocrinologist, Annapolis Internal Medicine, Annapolis, MD

  • "It has been a delight working with the developer of AMCIS. The system is adaptable and continues to evolve. I recently showed it to a patient at the hospital and they were ogling over it.”
-- Mary Clance, MD, Infectious Diseases, Annapolis Internal Medicine, Annapolis, MD

  • Regarding the AMCIS Viewer:
"The ability to access patient charts online from their doctor's office for 40,000 patients in the community would be very helpful, especially on weekends and nights when we can't contact their doctor. When patients arrive with serious problems, like renal failure, we don't know if that is the patient's baseline condition or if there is a medication causing the problem. Patient's and their family often don't know what medication their taking and in what doses so we are forced order a renal ultrasound or other extra tests. If we could access the outpatient chart we would have those answers right away and could avoid unnecessary repeat tests.

Also, having access to lab work and a patient problem list from the last 30 days would be very helpful. For example, if the patient is admitted on Friday night, it usually takes 3 days to get information from their doctor. We run into this all the time.”
-- Chang Choi, MD, Hospitalist at Anne Arundel Medical Center

  • "I have been using my old dictated notes imported into AMCIS and it is fantastic! I printed them in the CCU on a patient who had been admitted for an MI and put them in her chart for the other doctors. I have also begun to renew old notes to complete new ones. It's great! Thank you!”
-- Mike Freedman, MD, Primary Care Physician, Annapolis Internal Medicine, Annapolis, MD
